Friends

friends

The Friends are a small group of volunteers, who are enthusiastic about the conservation of the Park and promotion of its many features. Formed in 1987, the group is part of a state wide network, Friends of Parks SA.

Membership

Do you passionately care about the environment, and live in the south western suburbs of Adelaide?

Would you enjoy working outdoors with an active, friendly and inclusive group?

If you have spare time on a Thursday morning, our working bees are from 8.30 am to 11.30 am, and we would welcome your company.

The annual subscription is $5.00, which covers members for personal accident insurance.

Induction and training is given to new members, and participation in specialised workshops is encouraged.

Meetings

Informal meetings are held each week during morning tea, when the day’s activities are discussed and the following week’s activities planned. Everyone is given the opportunity to voice their concerns and promote their own priorities within the Park. The AGM is usually held in February.
